Jazz is a harmonious blend between traditional and modern styles. Jazz is a combination of technique, style, confidence and power. Our jazz classes are inspiring, fun and inclusive with a focus on development of gross motor skills, core strength and flexibility.
Hip hop is one of our most popular classes. Hip hop is a fun and energetic urban dance style. It is a great workout for students while also helping them to develop great mind body connection and whilst developing a good sense of rhythm.
A fun fusion of acting, dancing and singing, students will learn the basics and develop to the advanced skills of this fun and lively discipline in an inclusive and supportive environment. Working on the elements of musical theatre by honing vocal technique, drama and dance skills. Classes are a great way to help students build confidence and communication skills.
For a slight twist on the more traditional gymnastics, our acrobatic classes, offer a fun and inspiring way to move. Students start with fundamentals and work their way up to more advanced skills. All activities are done in a safe and progressive manner with an emphasis on strength and body posturing to ensure each individual is capable of the skills they’re being taught.
Characterised by fluidity and grace, lyrical dance draws on ballet and jazz. Its name comes from the meaning of the word ‘lyrical’: poetic, expressing emotions in a beautiful and imaginative way. Lyrical is often less about precision of movement and more about telling a story through movement. Students will develop an ability to express emotions such as joy, love and anger to music with lyrics.
Tap dancing is one of the oldest and most famous types of dance. Tap dancing is a lively and rhythmically driven style in which the performer is both dancer and percussive musician. Students develop strong understanding of rhythm and timing, strength and stability in the upper body to contrast the speedy footwork.
Contemporary dance is less structured and more about feeling and rhythm. It is suggested students have a strong ballet base to develop and thrive in this class. This class is for experienced dancers.
