Classes
Classical:
The basis of all dance forms, ballet develops a child’s posture, musicality, discipline and movement skills, while providing a strong technical foundation. Crazy Feet teaches the internationally recognised Cecchetti Syllabus and students take part in exams and assessments. Selected students also take part in elite classes under the Russian System and are prepared for auditions for entry into full time ballet schools including the Australian Ballet School and Victorian College of the Arts.
JAZZ:
Current styles using current music and incorporating funk and technical jazz for students who wish to take their dancing further. Class consists of technical warm up and stratching, travelling including leaps and jumps and a dance routine to current music.
TAP:
Tap classes enhance student's rhythm skills and musicality as well as being great fun!
HIP HOP:
A fast moving class for movements most often seen in music video clips. Class consists of a more aerobic type warm up and a hip hop routine.
SONG & DANCE:
class for all the young pop stars in the making. Students learn simple singing techniques and the ability to sing during choreographed routines. It is a requirement that all students take a jazz, Hip Hop or ballet class in conjunction with this class.
VCE DANCE
: VCE Dance consists of 4 units. Each unit requires 50 hours of scheduled classroom tuition. Lessons are one and a half hours duration (per unit) with weekly attendance necessary. The VCE Dance style undertaken at Crazy Feet is Contemporary. Students are required to attend the VCE Theory Class, Contemporary class and Limber class. Students may use any form of movement when constructing their dance pieces for assessment ie. ballet, tap, jazz (hip-hop / funk) modern, contemporary, ethnic.
